Currently about 3,000 Farmers agents send Friendly Review to personal lines customers and Your Financial Solutions to investment and financial clients. Each newsletter features the agent's photo and contact information. About 1.2 million newsletters are printed quarterly. Farmers also produces a newsletter for agents, Customer Retention News, that encourages their use of the customer newsletters and offers other tips for marketing to customers.

Results:
  • 9 to 15 percent contacted their agent after receiving a newsletter
  • Customer retention rates increase an average of 2 to 6 percent among agents who send newsletters
  • Customer satisfaction is 10 to 20 percent higher among customers who receive newsletters
